Our Story

How SweetPea's Started

SweetPea's started in May 2017, when Claire, a veterinary nurse, took on a small pet shop and started using what she knew from practice to help owners feed their dogs properly.

Lucy, a registered veterinary nurse who had worked alongside Claire in practice, joined her as co-director. Today our HQ is on Tewkesbury High Street, and the Doggy Deli travels to markets and farm shops across Gloucestershire and Worcestershire every week.

Along the way we made our own food. The SweetPea's range is made exclusively for us, and it is the recipe we always wished we could recommend.

Co-Director

Claire

A qualified veterinary nurse who worked in vet practices around Tewkesbury before taking on the shop in 2017. Claire's dog Reggie, a basset hound and Staffordshire bull terrier cross, is our Happiness Officer.

Co-Director

Lucy

A registered veterinary nurse since 2015, with experience in first opinion and referral practice and volunteering in Thailand, Malawi and Borneo. Lucy is a Bronze and Silver UK Sniffer Dog instructor, and competes in Canine Hoopers UK and mantrailing with her springer spaniel Riggs.
